I love the internet, because it allows me to share stuff like this video. ScottyJ and I actually saw this live as we were relaxing and drying off after returning from watching the start of the Boston Marathon, and it completely does not surprise me that it ended up on YouTube within a day.
To set the stage, a fly ball hit to the stands in foul territory along the 3rd base line resulted in a jump ball between an Angels player and a Red Sox fan, who spilled his beer on the player in the process. What follows is just way too absurd to be believed.
This really makes no sense because the fan potentially prevented a Red Sox out, so there’s really no reason for that kind of a reaction from another Sox fan, unless maybe he was so distraught by the waste of half a cup of perfectly good beer that he completely lost his mind. In any event, the man in the Patriots jacket was ejected, the beer spiller’s girlfriend was able to clean the mess off of him, and we all have this video to entertain us. All’s well that ends well, I always say.
